Reflection of College
This week, I registered for my last semester at SJSU, and I am super excited. Prior to having a conversation with a friend the other day, I did not really think about how much I would miss college once I graduate. I believe it when people say that college is the best years of a person’s life. Starting off as a freshman, I have met so many people who I can call my lifelong friends, and have been through the lowest times of my life, but have overcome them somehow. Even though I was born and raised in San Jose, I feel like I am living the college years. I moved out of my family’s house to live a better life for myself, got involved with great organizations such as Akbayan, Peer Health Education, and Alpha Kappa Omicron, and found health science as something I want to work towards for my career. I have made many mistakes that I can laugh about now. Had great conversations with people about life. Learned how to cook simple things like eggs & bacon. Cried. Laughed. Cried again.
At this moment right now, I am pretty content and happy, which is probably why I am just blogging about this again. I just really appreciate everything that has happened to me up to this point and cannot wait for what is to come. There’s a lot of work that still needs to be done, but I am going to stay optimistic and let life take its course :)
