Dear twenty eight year old Ingrid,
I hope that by now you have graduated out of San Jose State as an interior design major (okay maybe a public relation major or hospitality management…just hope you figured out something by now!) and become successful, and all problems that you encountered 10 yrs. ago is forever gone.By this time, you should be getting ready to marry the man of your dreams, whoever that is. Unlike some guys you knew before, this guy treats you with equality, love, respect,and is your best friend for life.I’m guessing that you still keep in touch with all the friends that you’ve met both in high school and college, and you still have coffee dates or movie dates once in a while. The best part of all these dates are the long talks about the past and what future plans you guys are going to plan together. Oh, and another thing, please tell me that you stuck with an exercise and diet plan! I’m sure you’ll stay healthy, hopefully. By this time, you should have already accomplished many things like moved out of your house, adopted a cute big dog, found a REAL job and quit all your temporary ones, traveled to a few places like Paris, New York, and most importantly the Philippines, learned how to put on make-up, had days where you did bad things because you did not give a f*ck, worked things out with your parents, and attended Independence’s Class of 2008 high school reunion. I’m sure that by now you’ve grown up, but still remain the same crazy-in-a-good-way girl that you were before. Through the ups and downs of life, you’ve made it and got what you were always waiting for. I honestly can’t wait to see what happens in fifty more years!
